Weddingdecorator.ca is a family-owned business currently headed by mother-and-son team, Carol and Rick Tobin. The Tobin family has been wedding planning and decorating professionally for almost three decades. It all started in 1989 when Carol’s daughter, Sharon Kelly, decided to pursue her passion for planning and decorating weddings. With the help of younger brother Rick, their first foray was Sharon’s very own wedding. It was not without its own hiccups but the pair pulled through and prevailed, and their small wedding decorating business was born.
Originally working out of Sharon’s home, Sharon and Rick spent their weekends honing their craft while still juggling full-time jobs. As time went on, the company grew from strength to strength and soon, an expansion was inevitable. In 2007, the company moved to a humble office along Dunlop Street West and with the assistance of Carol, proceeded to make a name for itself as the purveyor of impeccable weddings.
It was when Sharon took a backseat from the business in 2012 to focus on her family that Carol took on a permanent role to lead the company’s sales and PR. As one of the oldest and longest-standing wedding decorating companies in Ontario, Canada, Weddingdecorator.ca has earned a reputation for creating flawless weddings through its unparalleled service, industry expertise and fine eye for detail.
Today, Weddingdecorator.ca is the preferred wedding decorating company in Barrie. Now at its present location at 11 Hart drive Barrie L4N 5M3 in our new 3,900 sq ft location Weddingdecorator.ca–-together with its complementary florist business Barrieflower.ca–-continues to work with couples of all backgrounds, budgets and tastes to realise the wedding of their dreams. Continually playing a steadfast and supportive role in the business, Sharon is also now a certified wedding officiant.
